Since their original proposal, neutrinos have been linked to nuclear physics. We can use neutrinos to probe the properties of nuclei, and use nuclei as targets for detecting neutrinos. In this seminar, I will present my past research on COHERENT and nEXO, and describe my experimental research program measuring nuclear matrix elements important for neutrinoless double beta decay of germanium-76, searching for Dark Matter in naturally occurring minerals with the PALEOCCENE collaboration, and developing new technology to detect some of the lowest energy neutrinos produced on Earth. I'll describe how the resources available at TUNL can help characterize backgrounds for these experiments and provide supporting measurements to enable this program.
