- Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
- Preference will be given to students who have completed the sophomore level physics courses or the equivalent by June 2019.
- Outstanding freshmen students and senior students who will not graduate by June 2019 will be considered on an individual basis.
- The National Science Foundation requires that NSF-funded students must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
- TUNL does not have the resources (i.e. space, availability of mentors and research projects) to support non-U.S. citizens as REU students outside of the NSF program.
